My Skincare Routine

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog!

For this weeks post I thought I would share with you all my skincare routine and my favourite products. I love trying out new items but I have fairly sensitive, acne prone skin, as well as this I have dry patches but a very oily T zone, so I find it a nightmare trying to find the perfect routine.

Morning

I usually shower every morning and I wash my face with this from Boots. I have tried out a lot of tea tree face washes but find that they can dry me out and leave my skin a bit red, however this works a treat on me. I massage this onto my wet face and neck for at least 1 minute, leaving my skin feeling clean and smooth. The charcoal draws out deep impurities and excess oil without over drying your skin.

Once I am out of the shower I use this Mario Badescu aloe vera toner. It is suitable for dry and sensitive skin and is alcohol free. I love this toner as it is very mild and soothing, it's a bit more expensive but after reading the reviews I thought I would give it a try. It helps with irritation and redness while removing pore clogging debris.

After toning I use The Ordinary Niacinimade and Zinc serum, this helps with my breakouts and congestion. It is water based and absorbs quickly, perfect for layering products over. This is best for those with oily skin and the zinc helps to heal blemishes.

I swear by salicylic acid if you have trouble with spots - it is great for drying them out quickly. I apply them directly to spots as it can be drying to the rest of your skin. This serum is great as it is oil free and lightweight. You can also wear this under your make up, drying up your blemishes throughout the day. Definitely would recommend!

I first tried this moisturiser only a month ago and it is already one of my favourites I have tried! It is formulated with niacinamide, which helps to regulate oily skin - perfect if you're going to sit out in the sun. I have very fair skin, which burns easily so I feel a lot more confident by wearing SPF30 everyday. I also find that my make up sits well after using this moisturiser but you do need to wait for it to fully sink in.

This simple eye cream feels so soothing and refreshes my under eyes instantly. It's perfect for tired eyes that are puffy and the reviews are great. I use this after moisturiser and pat it in until is absorbed.

Night

I only wear make up around every second day so I use this foaming cleanser. Due to the glycolyic acid it should only be used around 2-3 times a week. This is great for brightening dull, congested skin and helps get rid of whiteheads. I apply to my face and massage in circles, then wash off with warm water.

If I have been wearing make up I use this micellar water to pick up any left over dirt on my face, it is also a good cleanser. This micellar water is soothing and perfect for sensitive skin, it takes off excess make up such as mascara easily and doesn't irritate your skin. After using this I again use the Mario Badescu Aloe Vera Toner

After toning I use The Ordinary Lactic Acid and HA serum to exfoliate my skin. I use this 2-3 times per week and have found that I am having fewer breakouts. This formula is also great as normal exfoliation can result in irritation and sore skin. After using this I try to wait at least 10 minutes before applying moisturiser just to let it fully absorb.

I have been using this moisturiser every night for over a month now and I am so impressed with the results. Before I used to always wake up with such oily skin and new spots but this moisturiser leaves my skin matte throughout the night. My skin feels so light and hydrated after using! After this I again apply my Simple Kind to Eyes Eye Balm Soothing 15ml

I hope you enjoyed reading this, I would love to read your thoughts on these products and what you use in your routine!

Collaboration with DFWM Jewellery

Welcome back to my blog; I know it’s been a long time since my last post - life has been very busy! I’m currently working with DFWM (Don’t F**k With Me) Jewellery and can’t wait to show you what they’ve sent me. Scroll down to see my pictures. DFWM is an online unisex jewellery store run by one woman, Michelle. As a single mum, Michelle was looking for a new career path. After chatting to her friend, she came up with the idea of an online chic boutique; DFWM followed soon after. The brand’s s ethos is to stand up for ourselves and what’s right. We shouldn’t tolerate insulting behaviour nor be made to feel uncomfortable for being who we are. This is definitely a message I can get behind and support! In my opinion, we need so many more brands to embrace people from all backgrounds. I have been kindly sent a stunning bee ring and two bracelets - both are gorgeous!! DFWM have a fab range of products including gold-plated and sterling silver jewellery, snazzy sunglasses, not to m...

Workwear Picks

Finding outfits that look fashionable and appropriate can be difficult so I've decided to put together some key pieces that I think would be great for either work or uni. These pieces I have listed can be worn easily time and time again by styling in different ways - they could be dressed up for a fancy event or dressed down for a more casual office look. Many websites such as Topshop and Pretty Little Thing have a workwear section complete with suits, blouses and trousers. I find this so helpful when it comes to finding smart clothes even when they are not for work! 1. Belted Jersey Midi Dress £29 This belted Topshop midi dress is perfect workwear, it is one of my favourites on this list! It's a simple piece that could be worn with some chunky boots in Winter or ballet flats in summer. You could also wear a chunky knit over this with some tights for those snowy days. 2. Bell Sleeve Chuck On Dress £25 This Topshop 'chuck on' dress is great for those days...
