Winter Must Haves

The past month has been dark, cold and depressing to say the least. For this reason I decided for my first blog post to write about my winter must haves. It may not make winter go any faster but these items will keep you cosy and fashionable. I've chosen items that I personally love and think can be worn time and time again, as well as being styled in different ways.

Click on the links for further information and let me know what you think!

1. Teddy Bear Coat
This style of coat has been popular for the past couple years now with almost every fashion influencer owning at least one style. Retailers such as Missguided and ASOS have plenty to choose from, whether you would like full or short length, black or a brighter colour and they are affordable prices as well!

Missguided Tan Oversized Borg Teddy Coat £45.50
This coat is three quarter length so will cover your bum, keeping you cosy and is currently reduced from £65! It also comes in different colours including white, pink and black.
For a casual winter look I would wear this coat with black leather look jeans, a black turtleneck with an optional white hoodie (if you're feeling the cold) with some chunky trainers and a beanie hat.

2. Touch Screen Gloves
There is nothing more frustrating in winter than having to constantly take off your gloves to use your phone, whether you want to take a photo or simply replying to a text. Last year at the Christmas Markets my hands were numb from having my gloves off the whole time to take some photos. Due to this I thought gloves that you can still use your phone with were definitely a must have for the coming months.

Accessorize Faux Fur Touch Screen Gloves £16
Although you may think that £16 is quite pricey for a pair of gloves I think these are a great buy. Trying to look for gloves that are warm AND phone usable was difficult - most gloves were very thin and not the best material, unlike this pair. They also come in grey and I love the faux fur cuff.

3. Chunky Boots
Every year I have the same struggle of trying to find cute winter boots that have grip on the soles and don't have a huge heel. Right now I wear my Jadon Dr Martens but these are more on the pricey side and I don't want to ruin these boots in the snow. I have found a few lovely pairs on ASOS but these were my favourite -
New Look Black Faux Croc Lace Up Ankle Boots £27.99
These boots are such a good price - they are vegan, have a flat sole and have a zip side fastening so you don't need to spend ten minutes trying to get them on! You can also get free delivery to the store with these boots and if you are a student then 10% off also.

4. Cosy Hat
I am unfortunately blessed with a very round face and look awful in almost every type of hat... apart from a beanie (it doesn't really suit me but it's the best I've found so far!) If you tend to wear lots of bold prints and colours then you may be best going for a plain coloured hat which will go with everything. I love Carhartt logo beanies so have put the link below.
Surfdome - Carhartt Arcylic Watch Beanie £19.95
These beanie hats are really fashionable right now and they go with any casual outfit. They also come in lots of different colours including grey, pink and navy. Surfdome also will let you pay with Klarna so you can buy now and pay at the end of the month.

5. Knitted Co-ord Set
I have been scouring every website possible for a cute knitted co-ord set for a while now but have had no luck until now. They have brought in lots of winter co-ord sets such as cropped jumpers with trousers and cardigans with matching skirts. These sets look great with a chunky long line coat for a casual lunch or can be dressed up with heels for going out at night.

Missy Empire do so many variations of knitted co-ords and this set in paticular comes in so many different colours including, grey, black, beige and khaki. It is also reduced from £42 and if you have an account with them you will receive rewards points as well!

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this and if you have any thoughts/feedback feel free to comment below :)

Collaboration with DFWM Jewellery

Welcome back to my blog; I know it’s been a long time since my last post - life has been very busy! I’m currently working with DFWM (Don’t F**k With Me) Jewellery and can’t wait to show you what they’ve sent me. Scroll down to see my pictures. DFWM is an online unisex jewellery store run by one woman, Michelle. As a single mum, Michelle was looking for a new career path. After chatting to her friend, she came up with the idea of an online chic boutique; DFWM followed soon after. The brand’s s ethos is to stand up for ourselves and what’s right. We shouldn’t tolerate insulting behaviour nor be made to feel uncomfortable for being who we are. This is definitely a message I can get behind and support! In my opinion, we need so many more brands to embrace people from all backgrounds. I have been kindly sent a stunning bee ring and two bracelets - both are gorgeous!! DFWM have a fab range of products including gold-plated and sterling silver jewellery, snazzy sunglasses, not to m...

My Skincare Routine

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog!  For this weeks post I thought I would share with you all my skincare routine and my favourite products. I love trying out new items but I have fairly sensitive, acne prone skin, as well as this I have dry patches but a very oily T zone, so I find it a nightmare trying to find the perfect routine. Morning Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Charcoal Face Wash £5 I usually shower every morning and I wash my face with this from Boots. I have tried out a lot of tea tree face washes but find that they can dry me out and leave my skin a bit red, however this works a treat on me. I massage this onto my wet face and neck for at least 1 minute, leaving my skin feeling clean and smooth. The charcoal draws out deep impurities and excess oil without over drying your skin. Mario Badescu Aloe Vera Toner £13.50 Once I am out of the shower I use this Mario Badescu aloe vera toner. It is suitable for dry and sensitive skin and is alcohol free. I love this toner as it i...

Workwear Picks

Finding outfits that look fashionable and appropriate can be difficult so I've decided to put together some key pieces that I think would be great for either work or uni. These pieces I have listed can be worn easily time and time again by styling in different ways - they could be dressed up for a fancy event or dressed down for a more casual office look. Many websites such as Topshop and Pretty Little Thing have a workwear section complete with suits, blouses and trousers. I find this so helpful when it comes to finding smart clothes even when they are not for work! 1. Belted Jersey Midi Dress £29 This belted Topshop midi dress is perfect workwear, it is one of my favourites on this list! It's a simple piece that could be worn with some chunky boots in Winter or ballet flats in summer. You could also wear a chunky knit over this with some tights for those snowy days. 2. Bell Sleeve Chuck On Dress £25 This Topshop 'chuck on' dress is great for those days...
