New Years Eve Outfit Ideas

It may be hard to believe but NYE is only two weeks away! I thought for this week's blog post I would put together a list of some outfit ideas - these would be perfect if you're going out for the night or to a function. Fashion during this time of year usually consists of sequins and other extra touches. I've put a mix of 'out there' outfits and some more simple dresses to suit everyone's style. Missguided Embellished Trim Mini Dress £70 This Missguided dress is great for those who like just a little bit of sparkle and nothing too dazzling! The dress has a sexy cross bar back and has padded shoulders to add to the look. Great for a NYE party paired with strappy heels and a statement bag. Club L Printed Square Neck Mini Dress £45 It was love at first sight for me with this dress, it's by far my favourite sequin outfit I have seen so far. Featuring a scoop neck and mini length along with the embellished sequins, I would say £45 is a steal. I woul...

Workwear Picks

Finding outfits that look fashionable and appropriate can be difficult so I've decided to put together some key pieces that I think would be great for either work or uni. These pieces I have listed can be worn easily time and time again by styling in different ways - they could be dressed up for a fancy event or dressed down for a more casual office look. Many websites such as Topshop and Pretty Little Thing have a workwear section complete with suits, blouses and trousers. I find this so helpful when it comes to finding smart clothes even when they are not for work! 1. Belted Jersey Midi Dress £29 This belted Topshop midi dress is perfect workwear, it is one of my favourites on this list! It's a simple piece that could be worn with some chunky boots in Winter or ballet flats in summer. You could also wear a chunky knit over this with some tights for those snowy days. 2. Bell Sleeve Chuck On Dress £25 This Topshop 'chuck on' dress is great for those days...

Free Days Out in Edinburgh

After living in Edinburgh for over three years and barely doing anything 'touristy', I decided this year to take advantage of the free tourist attractions. I have listed my top five places that I love to go to time and time again. The advantage of many of these places is that they change throughout the year. For example the National Galleries have lots of different exhibitions, displays and events on all year round. 1. Royal Botanic Garden The gardens are located on  Arboretum Place, which is only a ten minute bus ride from the city centre. It is free entry all year around but if you would like to visit the Glasshouses then entry is £7 for adults. This is by far my favourite place to visit no matter what the time of year is, its so relaxing to walk around such beautiful scenery and there is also a shop and cafe where you can get a nice hot drink if you're feeling the cold.  2. Scottish National Gallery The Scottish National Gallery is located on the Mound right in...

Collaboration with Abbott Lyon (AL)

Make It Personal This Christmas  A few weeks ago I received an email from AL asking if I would be interested in a collaboration for their Make It Personal Christmas Campaign. I am so happy to be working with their team and have been gifted the  most beautiful watch (see below for some pictures) in exchange for me promoting their collection which comes with the option of personalised engraving. I also can now share my code EG30 with my Instagram followers and readers of this blog which will get you 30% off all purchases! This code is also valid for their range for men. In this blog post I've added my favourite products of their website which I think would be great Christmas presents. PRESENTS FOR HER: 1. Silver Chain Kensington Watch £109 AL watches come with a two year guarantee and this watch has dial water resistance. It is available to engrave for an extra £15 and it is made from stainless steel bezel with an interchangeable stainless steel silver plate...

Christmas Gift Ideas

With Christmas fast approaching many people are already halfway through their gift shopping now. I on the other hand have not bought a single present yet! Therefore I thought today I would spend the day browsing every site imaginable and list my favourite gift ideas. Here's ten to choose from (I hope you like at least one!) 1. Airpods £159 Now this is on the more expensive side but this is a great present for friends or family members who always listen to music. The most basic Airpods start at £159 and have up to five hours of listening time before needing charged. If you have some extra money to spend on this special someone then it is worth looking at the Airpods Pro at £249, these come with a free engraving option, are sweat and water resistant and have a customisable fit. 2. Lush Santa's Grotto Gift Set £38 We all have one friend who is constantly posting their bath time on their Instagram stories and this gift is perfect for people who need some pampering! Thi...
