Collaboration with DFWM Jewellery

Welcome back to my blog; I know it’s been a long time since my last post - life has been very busy! I’m currently working with DFWM (Don’t F**k With Me) Jewellery and can’t wait to show you what they’ve sent me. Scroll down to see my pictures. DFWM is an online unisex jewellery store run by one woman, Michelle. As a single mum, Michelle was looking for a new career path. After chatting to her friend, she came up with the idea of an online chic boutique; DFWM followed soon after. The brand’s s ethos is to stand up for ourselves and what’s right. We shouldn’t tolerate insulting behaviour nor be made to feel uncomfortable for being who we are. This is definitely a message I can get behind and support! In my opinion, we need so many more brands to embrace people from all backgrounds. I have been kindly sent a stunning bee ring and two bracelets - both are gorgeous!! DFWM have a fab range of products including gold-plated and sterling silver jewellery, snazzy sunglasses, not to m...

My Favourite Homeware Brands

Hi guys, it has been a while!  I'm currently in isolation and can no longer use the excuse of being too busy to update my blog. Recently I've been obssessed with looking at homeware and wanting to make my flat more homely/aesthetically pleasing. So here are my favourite homeware brands: H&M Home I only recently discovered H&M Home and I am obsessed! They have a huge range of products including candles, dishes, storage baskets, bedding and more. Their pricing is also reasonable. I ordered  this gorgeous vase  which I plan to put dried flowers into and also  two glazed stoneware bowls . These are both out of stock currently but what I love about H&M is that you can get a notification when the product you want comes back in stock. Matalan Now you might think this is a really random one but Matalan have such cute, cheap homeware products. I found this out through many homeware bloggers and when I checked out their website I couldn't believe it! They have so m...

My Skincare Routine

Hi guys, welcome back to my blog!  For this weeks post I thought I would share with you all my skincare routine and my favourite products. I love trying out new items but I have fairly sensitive, acne prone skin, as well as this I have dry patches but a very oily T zone, so I find it a nightmare trying to find the perfect routine. Morning Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Charcoal Face Wash £5 I usually shower every morning and I wash my face with this from Boots. I have tried out a lot of tea tree face washes but find that they can dry me out and leave my skin a bit red, however this works a treat on me. I massage this onto my wet face and neck for at least 1 minute, leaving my skin feeling clean and smooth. The charcoal draws out deep impurities and excess oil without over drying your skin. Mario Badescu Aloe Vera Toner £13.50 Once I am out of the shower I use this Mario Badescu aloe vera toner. It is suitable for dry and sensitive skin and is alcohol free. I love this toner as it i...

Netflix Series to Binge Watch

Hi guys, I hope you're all doing well! I can't believe we've been in lockdown for 3 months now, it feels like forever since I was last at work. For this weeks blog post I thought I would share some of my favourite Netflix series which are binge worthy. I don't know about everyone else but I have probably spent about 60% of my time in lockdown on the couch scrolling through Netflix. 1. White Lines - 10 episodes I recently watched this with my flatmate, finishing it in two nights, it was so addictive. White Lines centres around the main character - Zoe who travels to Ibiza after the body of her brother is discovered. Zoe decides to stay in Ibiza and investigates all of his friends to find out what happened after he went missing 20 years ago. It is a mystery thriller and if you are into plot twists then this is definitely for you. 2. Too Hot to Handle - 9 episodes I'm slightly embarrassed to say that this series was watched in one sitting! If you enjoy watching Love Is...

ASOS Top Sale/Outlet Picks

Hi guys, I hope you're all doing well! This week has been awful in light of everything that is going on. Yesterday I decided to write a new blog post to take my mind off the news. It is so easy to become overwhelmed so it is important to take some time for yourself to relax. I have been doing a lot of online shopping at the moment (mainly out of boredom) so I thought I would show you my top sale/outlet picks from ASOS. 1. ASOS Design Midaxi Dress in Ice Nude £15.75 This gorgeous slip dress currently has a huge 65% off and is a bargain! This could be worn with heels for a fancy look or you could also style it with a t shirt underneath and chunky trainers or boots for a cute summer look. It also comes in a lovely olive colour. 2. Lola May Rouched Midi Skirt £21 This ruched detail skirt is great for summer and looks a lot more expensive than it actually is! It also has 40% off and is made from a light woven fabric so your legs will still be able to breathe in the hot we...

Local Businesses to Support During Lockdown

We're currently on day 53 of lockdown and I don't know about anyone else but I have done a ridiculous amount of online shopping. You know its bad when even your flatmate finds it bad. During this time though I think a lot of us forget about local businesses that are struggling, so I thought I'd list some here that are still offering their services. 1. The Nail Gal (@thenailgaledinburgh) The Nail Gal are currently offering stick on nails where you can choose your shape, length, colour and nail art that you would like. Each kit includes a spare pair of nails, an acetone wipe, a nail file and nail glue. They range from £18 for plain colour/glitter/foil to £25 for more intricate patterns such as marble. 2. Nails by Lindsay (@nailsbylindsayy) Lindsay is fully qualified and works at Karmen Li Beauty in Morningside. She is also currently offering custom press-on nails. Each set includes the custom nails, a nail file, a cuticle pusher, nail prep wipe, sticky tabs, nail gl...
